Security measures
We take your safety seriously.
Here is everything Quiire does to protect the people who ride, order, send and book with us — and the drivers, couriers, providers and kitchens who do the work. It is written plainly, and it lists only what we actually do today.
Check the photo, every time
If the photo doesn’t match, stop.
If a provider’s photo does not match the person who arrives, do not get into the vehicle, do not let them into your house, and do not do business with them. Report the account immediately.
Every provider’s photo is a clear, passport-style portrait reviewed by the Quiire team, so the person who arrives should be the person you see in the app. To report an account, open the trip, order or job in the app and use Report, or go to Safety → Report something. A person at Quiire reads it and replies. If you are in danger, use the emergency button in Safety or call your local emergency number.
How we check people
People are checked by people
Nobody drives, delivers or comes to your door on Quiire until our team has looked at who they are and what they sent.
Every provider is reviewed before they work
Drivers, couriers, tradespeople and sellers apply to Quiire and send the documents their market asks for — a licence, insurance, vehicle papers, a business registration. A person on the Quiire team reads each one and approves or refuses it. Until then, they cannot go online.
A new document means a new review
When a provider updates or renews a document, their account goes back on hold — no going online, no new work — until our team has approved the new one. An expired document stops work the same way. So a provider can never work on a paper nobody has read, or one that has run out. We remind them 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before anything expires.
A photo you can recognise them by
A provider’s profile photo must be a clear, passport-style portrait of them, in proper casual wear, and it is reviewed by our team. If they change their photo, their account returns to pending until our team confirms it is still the same person.
The verified tick
Anyone on Quiire can verify their identity for free: a photo of their ID and a selfie holding it, or a video interview booked with the Quiire team. A person compares them. The tick means our team has checked that the profile belongs to a real person — it is a sign of trust, not a guarantee of anyone’s behaviour.
Selfie checks on shift
We can ask a driver, courier or provider for a quick selfie when they go online or while they are working, and a person compares it with their verified ID — so the person working an account is the person it belongs to. Nobody is asked while they are driving. A missed check holds their payouts; a failed one stops new work.
Switched on and sampled by Quiire; not every shift is checked.
One phone holds the live work
A provider’s live shift runs on one phone at a time. Going online on another phone moves the shift there and switches the first phone off, so an account cannot quietly be worked from a second device.
Some features are for verified accounts
Paying a driver in cash, booking a ride for someone else, asking for a driver by @handle, splitting a bill and earning rewards are kept for verified accounts, so the people using them have been checked.
Each can be adjusted per market by Quiire.
Before you ride or book
Know who is coming, and what it costs
See who is coming
Before a driver arrives you see their name, photo, @handle, rating and verified tick, and the car’s make, colour and plate. Check them all before you get in.
The price is set before you confirm
Fares, delivery fees and totals are worked out by Quiire’s servers and shown to you before you confirm — never calculated on the spot. Drivers and providers set their own rates only within limits Quiire enforces.
Calls and messages by @handle
You call and message your driver, courier or provider inside the app, by @handle. Your phone number is never shown to them, and theirs is never shown to you. Messages that try to swap phone numbers or email addresses are not sent. The conversation closes when the job is done.
During the trip or job
Codes at the door, help one touch away
A code for every handover
Your ride has a pickup code the driver needs to start the trip. A parcel has one code to collect it and another to deliver it — the other party is emailed theirs. A food order and a shop order are handed over with a code too. Only share a code with the person whose photo you have checked.
A code before anyone comes in
When a provider comes to your home, they must enter the code you give them when they arrive — before they start, and before they come in. After too many wrong tries the code stops working and our team takes over.
Share your trip live
Send anyone a live tracking link for a ride, parcel, errand, food order, job or shop delivery. It opens a map in any browser, and it never shows phone numbers, codes or payment details.
Trusted contacts
Add the people who look out for you. They are alerted with your location if you press for help, and — if you choose — they are told about every ride automatically when a driver accepts: who is driving, the plate and where you are going.
Automatic trip sharing is for rides and is off until you turn it on.
The emergency button
Hold the emergency button in Safety for three seconds. Your trusted contacts are texted with where you are, and the Quiire safety team is alerted at once. Your market’s own emergency numbers are one tap away on the same screen.
Check-ins, crash detection and audio
On a ride you can turn on “Are you OK?” check-ins — if you don’t answer, your trusted contacts are alerted — and crash detection, which asks if you are alright after a hard impact. You can also record the ride’s audio on your phone; it is saved privately with your ride for our team to review if something is reported.
Each is your choice, on your phone, and works while the app is running.
After
Every report is read by a person
Ratings go both ways
Customers rate drivers, couriers, kitchens and providers; providers rate customers too. Our team can remove a review that breaks the rules.
Report something
Report a driver, courier, provider or safety incident from the trip, order or job, or from Safety in the app. Our support team is alerted the moment you send it, and a person replies in the same thread.
Accounts can be suspended
When an account breaks the rules or puts someone at risk, our team can suspend or ban it. A provider whose shift selfie is rejected cannot take new work until it is resolved.
Payments
Your money, protected
Cards are handled by our payment processor
Your card is entered straight into our payment processor, Stripe — the full card number never reaches Quiire. We keep only the brand, the last four digits and the expiry, so you can tell your cards apart. Every payment carries a unique key so it can never be charged twice by a retry.
Holds, not surprises
A ride paid by card is held when you book and settled at the end. For services at home, the card is held before each step — the call-out, then the agreed price — and the provider is paid only when you accept the work.
Buyer protection in the Shop
When you buy from a seller, Quiire holds the payment. Sellers photograph the item and the packed parcel before it ships, and you can ask for fresh photos before you buy. The seller is paid only after you confirm it arrived, or a set time after delivery — and if something is wrong, you report it first and the payment stays frozen while it is sorted out. Quiire decides anything the two of you cannot.
Your account
Your account stays yours
Wrong passwords slow the door
After several wrong passwords, sign-in pauses for a while, and each further wrong try makes the pause longer — on the apps, the website and our own staff console.
Breached passwords are refused
A new password that has appeared in a known data breach is refused, checked privately without the password ever leaving our servers. Your own name, email or number can’t be your password either.
“Was this you?”
If your password, email, phone number or @handle changes, or your account signs in on a new device, you are told at once by push and email. One tap on “Wasn’t you?” signs out every device, emails you a link to set a new password and tells our support team.
See every device you are signed in on
Your devices screen lists every phone and browser signed in to your account, and signs any of them out. Changing your password signs out every other device; resetting it signs out all of them.
Private by design
People you deal with see your name and @handle — never your phone number or your account’s registration number. Identity and business documents are sent only through the app and reviewed only by the Quiire team. We do not record where you are when you sign in, and the rough location used for nearby alerts is deleted after a few days.
Your private files stay private
ID documents, selfies and recordings are only visible to you and to the Quiire staff who review them. Photos taken as proof on an order — a parcel at the door, finished work — are shown to the people on that order, through links that expire.
Nobody from Quiire will ask for your password
Not by phone, not by message, not by email. The same goes for sign-in codes and password-reset links. Anyone who asks is not us.
For providers
Protection for the people doing the work
Your documents keep customers safe — and you
Every document you send is read by a person before you work on it. Updating or renewing one puts your account on hold until it is approved; an expired one stops work. We remind you before anything runs out, so you can renew on a day off.
Your photo, reviewed
Your profile photo must be a clear, passport-style portrait in proper casual wear. Customers are told not to go ahead if it doesn’t match you, so keep it current — a new photo returns your account to pending until our team confirms it is still you.
No one else can work your account
Selfie checks compare the person working with your verified ID, and your live shift runs on one phone at a time. Never lend your account — it is yours alone.
Codes confirm the customer too
The home-visit code is entered when you arrive, so you know the person letting you in is the one who booked. Parcels change hands only with the right code.
Your payouts are guarded
Adding or changing your payout bank account needs a code texted to your phone. You are told at once by push, inbox and email, and the first payout to a new account waits for a set period, so a change you did not make can be stopped. Your account number is stored encrypted.
Your number stays private
Customers call and message you through the app by @handle. You rate customers after every job, and you can report a customer to our team. The Safety screen in your app has the emergency button and your trusted contacts.
For kitchens
Your takings, locked behind a code
A code before your money
Takings, statements, payout details, refunds and claims open only after a code texted to the phone on the account — on the app and the kitchen dashboard alike. The code lasts a few minutes, then it is asked for again.
Payouts guarded the same way
Changing where your money goes needs a fresh texted code, you are told at once, and the first payout to a new account waits for a set period.
Staff sign in as themselves
Add your team as staff with their own sign-in and a role — owner, manager or kitchen — enforced by our servers, so the kitchen can take orders without seeing the money. Changes are logged.
Fair when something goes wrong
When a customer reports a problem with an order, you see it and can answer or dispute it; our team decides from the record.
Behind the scenes
How our own team is held to account
Every staff member uses two-factor sign-in
Nobody on the Quiire team can use our staff console without an authenticator app, and moving any money — a payout, a refund, a credit — needs a fresh code every single time.
Every action is recorded
What our staff do in the console is written to an audit log, and each person can only reach the parts of the console their role needs.
Built to resist tampering
Our connections are encrypted and hardened, requests are rate-limited, and the settings the apps rely on — fares, emergency numbers — are digitally signed, so the app refuses a version that has been altered.
Something not right?
Report it from the app — a person reads every report and answers in the same thread. Nobody from Quiire will ever ask for your password, a sign-in code or a password-reset link, by phone, message or email. Read more in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
